I think God is the most fantastic designer. I love you if you love me. Attitude is everything. I love things that age well – things that don’t date, that stand the test of time and that become living examples of the absolute best. I always loved aesthetics. Not particularly fashion, but an idea of beauty.

Some people think luxury is the opposite of poverty. It is not. It is the opposite of vulgarity. I am what I am. Before I was not so proud to make fashion. My family thought fashion wasn’t very interesting. So I hid that. We must never confuse elegance with snobbery. You can hide so much behind theatrics, and I don’t need to do that any more. I have my permanent muses and my muses of the moment.

I believe in comfort. If you don’t feel comfortable in your clothes, it’s hard to think of anything else. I think God is the most fantastic designer. I have a fantastic relationship with money. I use it to buy my freedom. Fashion is made to become unfashionable. Design and style should work toward making you look good and feel good without a lot of effort so you can get on with the things that matter.
