Thumbnail Gallery

This post shows  you how a thumbnail gallery will look in the Selfie theme.

WordPress galleries are really easy to make now. These thumbnails open up in a full-screen viewer when you click on them. It’s a nice effect that shows off your images well.

  1. Bill, a few questions please:
    1) is there a more prominent social media tool bar that can be added as a widget, etc.?
    2) I am mainly looking for a site to show video, with the homepage image an actual photo rather than a YouTube jpeg. Does this makes sense for Selfie?
    3) With the home page set to the blog post look, can those images be made full screen or is that only in the other home page view?

    thanks, Jeff

    • Hello Jeff,

Great questions. Let’s find answers for you:

      1. You’re more than welcome to add in a social icon plugin. There is an abundance of those to choose from that behave in all kinds of ways. Doing that should be a piece of cake.
      2. You can absolutely do that with the home page layout. The home page is broken up into blocks. Each one can have a unique image. The plus sign opens up a full screen lightbox that supports videos. That way you can have the a full screen image that opens up the video for your visitors when clicked.
      3. You’ll probably want to stick with the home page set like the demo for that look. The blog and home page have some pretty substantial structural differences that would be tricky to overcome.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

      Thanks,
      Bill
