Everything I do is a matter of heart, body and soul. Never in my wildest dreams did I entertain the idea that I would become a fashion designer. I still appreciate individuality. Style is much more interesting than fashion, really. I want to thank all the women who have worn my clothes, the famous and the unknown, who have been so faithful to me and given me so much joy. I am especially grateful that I have been able to keep my own style over the decades, in spite of the many changes that have taken place in the world of fashion and in its business.
